These frequently asked questions refer to the May 2021 update of the Altro Wood adhesive-free and Altro Wood safety floors ranges.

A.   This development brings changes to the Altro Wood adhesive-free safety flooring product and the original Altro Wood safety floor. The Altro Wood Comfort safety floor remains unchanged.

A.    Altro Wood – This 2mm safety floor is now a popular and well-established part of our portfolio. This attractive floor looks great in a wide variety of application areas, but it is not just about looks: Altro Wood is designed to cope with medium to heavy traffic and has sustained slip resistance for the lifetime of the floor.

Altro Wood adhesive-free – This 2.8mm adhesive-free product was introduced in January of 2020 and has quickly established itself as a favourite amongst installers, specifiers, and end users. With 14dB sound reduction, a 10-year guarantee and our Altro one in a million slip-resistance assurance, Altro Wood adhesive-free offers high levels of comfort underfoot providing a safe, durable, and decorative solution for busy spaces. Using our award-winning adhesive-free installation method, it can be welded and walked on the same day, and at the end of its life can be removed easily, allowing it to be reused or recycled.

A.    This new collection will be introduced on 26 May 2021.

A.   It is important to make sure that our colours and designs stay relevant and current, so we have introduced some new and exciting colours into our 2021 wood-look flooring collection. We also, following the successful introduction of the Altro Wood adhesive-free material in 2021, wanted to extend this collection and at the same time align it to the Altro Wood safety floor. Our customers value the choice and flexibility that this alignment between these ranges provides.

A.    After we introduced the Altro Wood adhesive-free safety floor in 2020 this product has quickly established itself as an important product for those who are looking for a sustainable and versatile safety floor which is quick to install. As a result we wanted to offer more design choice in this important product and so we have extended the range from twelve colours to eighteen.

At the same time, we have balanced the Altro Wood range, re-colouring this popular product and adding some new and exciting colours.

A.    It is often important to transition from one area to another using products of differing performance characteristics whilst keeping the visual appearance the same. Having these two products aligned in this way gives customers the choice as to what product they use without compromising on design.

A.    There are eighteen designs in each product. We have added six to the adhesive-free product and re-coloured the Altro Wood safety floor so both ranges align.
