Thanks to its largest fundraising campaign in decades, and some stunning Altro Whiterock Chameleon wall cladding, the Nova Scotia Rehabilitation Centre has reopened its therapeutic pool.
Plagued by corroded pipes creating expensive leaks, and an outdated interior, the pool was forced to close, making Nova Scotia Rehabilitation Centre the only such facility in Canada without hydrotherapy.
Patients with joint and muscle pain often use therapeutic pools for physical therapy and relief, and hydrotherapy’s benefits are not easily replicated. Nova Scotia Rehabilitation Centre’s was used both during the day by patients and at night for community groups of up to 40 people, but despite their outcries of support, the pool’s repair costs were far too high for it to remain open.
A fundraising spree brought about an overhaul. All the pool’s innards were repaired and replaced, and a new blue and green theme was added throughout. Even in the bathrooms, showers and changing rooms.
The colourful shower rooms have Altro Whiterock Chameleon, Altro’s hygienic and stylish wall cladding, to thank. Four different colours – Sheer Glass, Nightfall, Slip Stream and Shocking Pink – were installed for a brilliant custom pattern.
Altro Whiterock Chameleon is available in 16 high impact, high-design shades to add a little bit of affordable luxury to a range of environments. Altro Whiterock Chameleon is durable, with a smooth, watertight, wipeclean surface.
