At: School in east London
An Ofsted judged ‘Outstanding’ school in the heart of east London had suffered severe flood damage which resulted in the existing flooring and substrate needing to be removed and replaced. The damage was extensive, and the refurbishment was very challenging as the school campus is a modern design with large, open plan circulation areas which receive footfall from hundreds of students and staff in the course of a day. Once the damaged substrate had been removed, the subfloor then needed to be reinstated. Hycom completed the refurbishment and then installed Altro Wood which had been specified for the installation.
