At: Gate Gourmet Heathrow
The pot wash room for Gate Gourmet at Heathrow Airport had a tiled floor that needed to be replaced. The area needs to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Central Flooring Systems and Gate Gourmet to put together a programme that would work around live production to minimise shut down of the area. The existing screed and tiles had to removed and a polymer screed underlay was installed. Over 95% of the waste was recycled, including the old removed flooring and packaging waste from the new installation.
